At BCS we offer many opportunities for students to uncover, unpack, develop, and share their God-given gifts.
We offer a full curriculum for students from Junior Kindergarten (JK) to Grade 8 which guides student learning in a variety of units of study in multiple disciplines. In addition to the thorough assessment from teachers our students’ progress is monitored through our participation in MAP Growth Testing which involves testing three times per school year. In addition to providing information about each student’s academic progress the testing provides an opportunity to compare our school’s results with those of other participating schools. In general, BCS compares well with other Christian schools in Ontario and ahead of the national norms.
In addition to our strong academic program we offer multi-faceted music and visual arts programs to encourage student creativity while celebrating the arts. We also offer an extensive athletics program which includes both curricular and co-curricular opportunities for students which encourage health and wellness and good sportsmanship. We also offer a Special Education Resource program to assist students who require academic support and an English Language Learning program for students who require language support.
During the school year BCS students also have opportunities to attend weekly school worship and assemblies, go on class trips, participate in service projects and get involved in a number of co-curricular activities.
