Special Anniversary Assembly!  On Tuesday, September 3rd we are having a special assembly open to all parents and students.  We will meet at 8:40am in the gym.

Jk students will remain in the classroom with Mrs. Foster.

We will have special guests Brantford Mayor Chris Friel and Diane Stronks from EDIFIDE.

We plan on having some special guests who served on our very first Board back in 1963!

So plan to attend this special kick off to our 50th Anniversary year.

STUDENT JOB OPENING: BCS has a position available for a university or college student who has attended post-secondary education for at least one year and is returning for another year in the fall.  This position is for 6 weeks during the summer months.  Minimum wage will be paid to the selected candidate.  Please submit resumes by June 18th to the office.  For more information, contact Walt Hartholt at the school.

POLICE CHECKS:

Please remember that parents who would like to participate in class trips / driving for the school must have current police checks. A police check is also necessary for everyone who volunteers at the school. Forms are available at the front office.  If you have a valid police check, you may bring that in as well.

BCS LIBRARY:

The school library gratefully accepts gently used books and DVD's (no VHS videos, please). Donations can be dropped off in the library or the office. Thank you!
Also, notices for overdue books have gone home. Please return the books asap.

Please note that next week all school belongings will be going home by Thursday, June 20th.  Gym bags will remain in school and will go with each student to their next home room!

Please also note that the new school calendar is on the website and you may download it or you can wait for the hard copy We also ordered fridge calendar magnets for the coming school year and they will be here in a few weeks time.  We will send those home the first week of school in September!
Also please note that we did review the calendar as asked at our recent membership meeting. Due to our bus service our students are in school longer than our public school students and therefore we have some extra days on our calendar.   Please note that we are meeting the ministry required amount of days for our students to be in school.
