HDCH Sports Camps: Hamilton District Christian High School will be running basketball and volleyball camps during the month of August. The basketball camp (for male and female students going into grades 6, 7 or 8) runs from August 14-18 and the volleyball camp (for male and female students going into grade 7,8 or 9) is from August 21-25. TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE - JOB POSTING:The Transportation Committee is searching for a bus driver. Please contact the Transportation Committee through our gmail account at transportation@bcsbrantford.ca if you are interested in this posted position.

REMINDER FROM THE TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE: This is a reminder to please inform the Transportation Committee at transportation@bcsbrantford.ca in regard to requiring bus service for the school year 2017-2018 by August 15th. If your family is currently on route, you do not need to inform the Transportation Committee.  After this date, there will be no added additions to routes. However, if the deadline is missed, there is the option of driving your children to the closest stop. As of the 3rd week in September, new additions to routes will be processed and changes to routes will be made at this time.  Please ensure that we have your information as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

POLICE CHECKS:We require all volunteers to have an up-to-date police check on file. This includes chaperones for class trips, drivers for sporting events, etc. If you already have a police check that is less than three years old, you may bring in the original copy for us to see and copy from. We also have letters for both Brant OPP and Brantford Police to start the process of filing for a police check. Please contact Karen if you need a letter sent home. Mrs. Roth will be contacting those that have a police check on file that has expired or will be expiring before June 2017. Thank you.

EARLY DEPARTURE FORM: Please remember to come to the office to get an early departure form from the office to pick up your child(ren) during school hours.  Once you have received the form(s) please give it to the teacher(s) when you go to the classroom(s).  This process will ensure that our attendance records are kept accurately and to ensure that the office is aware of all absences. Thank you for your cooperation with this!

PASSWORD FOR WEBSITE: To access the secure pages on our website, you must have a username and a password. This is the process to request a username and password: on our website, click on "BCS Life" and the first drop-down option is "Request a Password". After completing the form, hit submit and the form will be sent to the front office. After the account is activated, you will receive an email and you should then have full access to the site.

NUT AWARE: We are a nut aware school so please ensure that all food brought into the school is nut-free. Some students at BCS could have a potentially life-threatening anaphylactic reaction if they came in direct contact with peanuts and/or other tree nuts so please help us keep a safe environment for all of our students.

FUNDRAISER AT BCS: Do you have used laser or ink toner cartridges at home and you don't know what to do with them?  We have begun a new program with Global Laser to collect used cartridges.  We will receive money for certain cartridges and the rest will be recycled responsibly. A blue bin is available in Karen's office to drop off used cartridges.

BCS LIBRARY: The school library gratefully accepts gently used books and DVD's (no VHS videos, please). Donations can be dropped off in the library or the office.Thank you!    

FOOD DAYS: Special food days have been scheduled through lunchboxorders.net. To place a food order for your child, login and enter your child's information. For more information about how to use this site, please contact Karen in the school office. Orders must be placed a week before the food day is scheduled. All food days are listed on our school calendar.
